Website privacy policy
This website and its free web games are made for families with kids 4 to 8. This page explains what the website keeps and what it counts.
Effective
The short version
- This website has no ads and no accounts. Web game scores stay in your browser.
- It counts visits with Google Analytics cookies, with every ad feature off. In Europe it asks first.
- We never ask for personal information. If you email us, we use your message only to reply.
Who we are
This website is made by Paperbub, the maker of Little Paper (“we” or “us” on this page).
This policy covers this website at paperbub.com, including its free web games. The Little Paper app has its own privacy policy.
Questions about privacy go to hello@paperbub.com.
This website and its web games
Our pages have no ads, social buttons or ad trackers. There are no third-party fonts, CDNs or embedded videos, maps or chats: pages, pictures and games are served from paperbub.com. The one outside service is Google Analytics, which counts visits with its own cookies (below).
The web games keep best scores, progress, the last choices made in each game and the sound setting in your browser’s local storage on this device. They are never sent to us. To remove them, clear this site’s data in your browser.
If you pick light or dark mode in the menu, or answer the cookie question, your browser remembers that choice on this device too. The home page also remembers, for the open tab only, that its opening scene has played, so it is shorter the next time. That note is gone when the tab closes.
Visit counts
We use Google Analytics to count page views and a few things done on the site, such as a game started or finished, so we know which pages and games people enjoy. It uses cookies with a random number set by Google, and Google processes the data for us. It never receives names, scores or drawings, and we never use it for ads.
In the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland, Google Analytics only sets cookies if you agree. Anyone can change their answer with Cookie choices at the bottom of every page. Read how Google uses this data.
Hosting
The site is hosted by Cloudflare, on Cloudflare Workers. Like any web host, Cloudflare processes basic request data, such as your IP address, your browser type and the page you asked for, to deliver the site and protect it from abuse. If its security checks need to tell a person from a bot, Cloudflare may set a short-lived security cookie for that check. We don’t use request data to identify or follow anyone. Cloudflare’s privacy policy explains its part.
When you email us
If you write to hello@paperbub.com, we receive your email address and whatever you write. We use it only to reply to you.
We don’t add you to a mailing list, and we don’t sell or share your message, apart from the email services that deliver and store it. You can ask us to delete your emails at any time.
Please don’t send us personal details about your child.
Children’s privacy
The web games are made for kids 4 to 8. We don’t collect personal information from children. The web games have no accounts, sign-ups, chat, forms or ads, and they send only the visit counts described above, which can’t say who is playing.
We wrote this policy with children’s privacy laws in mind, such as COPPA in the United States and the GDPR’s rules for children in the European Union and the United Kingdom.
Our email address is for grown-ups. If you think a child has sent us personal information, email us and we will delete it.
Your choices and rights
The visit counts use a random number, not a name, so they can’t be tied to you or your child, and we hold nothing about you from them. There is nothing for us to look up, correct or delete there.
- To delete web game scores, clear this site’s data in your browser.
- To leave your visits out of the counts, choose No thanks in Cookie choices at the bottom of any page.
- For emails you sent us, ask for a copy or ask us to delete them.
We don’t sell personal information or share it for advertising. Depending on where you live, you may also have the right to complain to your local data protection authority.
Changes and contact
If this policy changes, we will update this page and the effective date at the top before the change takes effect.
