App privacy policy
Little Paper is made for kids 4 to 8, so the app is built to collect nothing. This page explains what that means.
Effective
The short version
- The Little Paper app has no accounts, no ads, no analytics and no tracking.
- The app sends nothing to us. Drawings, progress and settings stay on your device.
- Sharing and purchases sit behind a grown-up check, and Apple handles every payment.
- We never ask for personal information. If you email us, we use your message only to reply.
Who we are
Little Paper is made by Paperbub, the maker of Little Paper (“we” or “us” on this page).
This policy covers the Little Paper app for iPhone and iPad, which is coming soon to the App Store. Our website, paperbub.com, has its own privacy policy.
Questions about privacy go to hello@paperbub.com.
What the app collects: nothing
Little Paper doesn’t collect personal information, and it doesn’t send anything to us. It has no advertising, no analytics SDK, no public community, no camera, no microphone and no server of ours. No name, birthday, email or photo is needed, and there is no account to create.
The app doesn’t track you or your child across other companies’ apps or websites. Its App Store privacy label is Data Not Collected.
Its privacy manifest, the file Apple reads to check what an app does with data, declares no tracking and no data collected. It also names two everyday system features that Apple asks apps to explain when they use them: saving the app’s own settings, and the time since the device was switched on, which the app uses to pace sounds and time the break reminder. Both stay on the device.
What stays on the device
Pictures, coloring drafts, puzzle progress, outfits and preferences stay in this installation of the app on this device. We can’t see them.
Normal device backups may include them. Little Paper has no cloud backup of its own.
Removing the app or losing the device can remove this work. To delete everything Little Paper keeps, remove the app; older device backups may still hold a copy. To keep a picture, a grown-up can share a still copy first (see Help and support).
Sharing, links and the grown-up check
Only the grown-up area opens the share sheet. There, after the grown-up check, a grown-up can choose a picture and share a still copy. The copy leaves the app for the destination you pick, and that destination’s own privacy practices apply. Opening the share sheet doesn’t send anything by itself. Check the preview for personal details before you share.
If you choose Save Image, iOS asks once whether Little Paper may add pictures to Photos. That permission only lets the app add a picture; it doesn’t let the app see your photo library.
The few links that leave the app, to Apple’s help pages and to this website (Grown-ups › Help), also sit behind the grown-up check.
The grown-up check is a math question that keeps settings, sharing and purchases apart from play. It locks again when you leave the app, close the grown-up area or after 90 seconds without a touch. It is not identity verification or legal parental consent.
Purchases and Apple
Little Paper Pro, an optional purchase that is coming soon with the app, is bought through Apple. Apple handles the payment and we never see your payment details. The app only asks this device’s App Store whether Pro is on.
Apple runs the App Store, payments, Family Sharing, Ask to Buy and iCloud Backup under Apple’s privacy policy.
If you have allowed it in your device’s settings, Apple may share crash reports and app usage statistics with app developers, including us. These reports don’t include names, contact details or drawings.
When you email us
If you write to hello@paperbub.com, we receive your email address and whatever you write. We use it only to reply to you.
We don’t add you to a mailing list, and we don’t sell or share your message, apart from the email services that deliver and store it. You can ask us to delete your emails at any time.
Please don’t send us personal details about your child.
Children’s privacy
Little Paper is for kids 4 to 8. The app doesn’t collect personal information from children. It has no accounts, sign-ups, chat, forms or ads, and it sends nothing anywhere.
We wrote this policy with children’s privacy laws in mind, such as COPPA in the United States and the GDPR’s rules for children in the European Union and the United Kingdom.
Our email address is for grown-ups. If you think a child has sent us personal information, email us and we will delete it.
Your choices and rights
The app collects nothing, so we hold nothing about you or your child from it. There is nothing for us to look up, correct or delete.
- To delete what the app keeps, remove the app from the device.
- For emails you sent us, ask for a copy or ask us to delete them.
We don’t sell personal information or share it for advertising. Depending on where you live, you may also have the right to complain to your local data protection authority.
Changes and contact
If this policy changes, we will update this page and the effective date at the top before the change takes effect.
